Nothing can be done to bring Chynna and Blake back, or to relieve the unbearable suffering of their family and friends. Solving this crime will be an important step towards closure. Won't you help?
Information about suspicious persons or unusual vehicles in the Branigin sub-division, specifically on or near Aberdeen Drive could be extremely important to this investigation, i.e. - someone who had recently arrived in the Franklin, IN, area who is now gone. Even if you think that your information is unimportant, or that someone else may have already reported what you know, please contact the investigation's hotline. Your call may be the one that provides us with the information needed to solve this case.
Additionally, we are asking the public's assistance in identifying the offender(s) in this matter by noting a change or changes in this person's behavior patterns. Often, someone in the community will unknowingly be associated with the offender of a crime, and may be in a position to observe behavioral changes in that person. They will recognize the changes, and may even question them about it, but may not relate the changes to that person's involvement in a crime.
Persons close to the individual responsible for this offense may have noticed one or more of the following changes/scenarios, especially since 07/24/2006:
-
Unexpectedly leaving the area for a very plausible sounding reason (work related, visit a distant relative or friend, etc.),
-
Missing work or other routine engagement(s), particularly on days near or close to the day of this incident, i.e.-07/24/2006,
-
Unexplained injuries, i.e.-cuts, bruises, etc., particularly on his hands or arms,
-
An unnatural, for this individual, interest in the status of this investigation, paying close attention to the media, talking about this incident with friends, family, or co-workers, etc.,
-
A noted display of nervousness or irritability,
-
An increase or decrease in the expression of religion beliefs,
-
Changes in routine sleep patterns,
-
Changes in the 'usual' consumption of alcohol, drugs or cigarettes (an increase or a decrease),
-
Sudden shaving of facial and/or head hair, or, the growing of a mustache, beard, etc,
-
No longer operating their personal vehicle for no obvious 'reason.' This might include suddenly keeping this vehicle in a shed or garage, selling it, giving it away, etc.
It is important to note that the exhibition of one or more of these behavioral changes alone is not indicative of one's involvement in a crime.
These behavioral characteristics or changes are being shared so that the public may be sensitive to them, and may bring forth possible helpful information. Investigators are still examining a possible connection with this investigation and a residential burglary reported on Woodfield Boulevard
The burglary occurred the same day as the homicide and the crimes are in close proximity to one another.
